Biology writing

I am an Ecology major, so this is all from my biology-related coursework. The first full lab I wrote was for physical systems, as the name implies, the goal of the course was to have a general understanding of physiology. Then, I took an Ecology lab, where we studied properties of trees that were native species in Corado. In 2024, I took on an independent study project, and I got to lead my own learning experience. Lastly, I took a plant biology course where I got to spend more time working on my own research passions.

Physylogical Systems Lab

This was my first full lab report as a student at the University of Denver. I really enjoyed this lab because challenging but rewarding in the end. It was also fascinating because we saw the peptides working in real time.

I took Ecology over the summer, so the time I spent in this class was cut short. Although this lab was the final for the class. So, it's the most important takeaway. This lab was also amazing because it gave me an idea of what sort of research I could be doing in the professional world.

Independent study

From January to March of 2024. I worked on an independent research paper on the medical advancements that CRISPR gene editing has made in the last thirty years. It's only a brief overview, it was really interesting to learn about.

Plant Biology

For my last class for my major, I took plant biology. This course helped me discover a fascination with the genomics of chloroplasts. The final project was to create an annotated bibliography.
